Services that require personal information

Using ameto.de is generally possible without providing personal information. You will be informed, whenever personally identifiable information is required. This is the case for special services provided by ameto, all of which are described in the subsequent sections.

Newsletter

When subscribing to the ameto newsletter, you have to provide your email address. This email address will solely be used to provide product information to you about Ameto or the Ameto newsletter. Optionally, you may provide your full name, which is used to address you in emails. These data items are stored on Ameto's servers and will not be transmitted to any third party.

Ameto services

Using the Ameto service requires you to register by providing an email address. This email address will be used identify you as a valid user. The email address will also be used to inform you about topics that are important for you as a customer, such as issues related to account security.

If you want to use a paid Ameto service to an extent that exceeds the free quota, you have to provide a billing address and payment information in your account settings. The billing address will be stored on Ameto servers for invoice processing. Both the billing address and your payment information are transmitted to and stored by the payment service provider Stripe Inc., 185 Berry Street, Suite 550, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Your rights as a user of Ameto

All personal information are subject to the European General Data Processing Regulation (GDPR) and the German Data Protection Act. As soon as you are using one of our previously mentioned services that process your personal data you are entitled to the following rights:

Right of confirmation: You may request the confirmation from any employee of Ameto as to whether or not personal data concerning you are processed.

Right of access: You may request information about any of your personal data that is processed by one of our services or a copy of this information free of charge.

Right to rectification: You may request that wrong personal information concerning you is corrected or incomplete information is completed.

Right to be forgotten and Right of restriction of processing: You may request that your personal data is deleted or processing of the data is restricted, if deletion is not possible.

Right to data portability: You are entitled to receive personal data concerning you and to have your data transmitted to third parties.

Right to object: You may object to the usage of your personal data under certain circumstances. For example, you may object to Ameto using your personal data for marketing purposes.

Rights related to automated individual decision-making, including profiling: Ameto does not perform automated decision-making or profiling.

Right to withdraw data protection consent: You may revoke your consent to store and process your personal data at any time.
